HS Water Polo: Vista Murrieta Defeats Chaparral 17-7

The Red Hot Broncos Take on Temecula Valley Today

Vista Murrieta, fresh off winning the Championship at the Five Counties Girls Water Polo last weekend continued to “rack” up the wins. The Broncos were home Tuesday and wasted no time in their quest for the Southwestern League Championship.





Led by senior Isabel Rack, the Broncos blew right past the Pumas, winning 17-7. Rack scored 9 goals, had 6 steals and blocked 5 shots for Vista Murrieta. Katey Peterson scored 7 times against the Pumas and had 4 assists.


Amira Van Buren the third member of the Broncos “Trifecta” scored a goal and also had 4 assists. Myranda Galley had one steal and a field block. Haley Daarstad also had a block and had one steal. Jacelyn Geddes was superb in net and had 10 saves.

The Broncos are off the Temecula Valley to face the Golden Bears today. The Pumas are at Murrieta Mesa, who crushed Great Oak Tuesday 11-5.
