The Wolfpack slipped into Murrieta and quietly defeated the Rams 45-25 in their Dual match Thursday. Meanwhile, the Temecula Valley Golden Bears crushed the Nighthawks by a score of 71-6. Only the Broncos manged a Dual victory for the Murrieta schools, slipping past Chaparral 36-30.

The Wolfpack won 10 of the 14 weight classes in the Dual, including six pins and one major. “It is always nice to get a win inside our League but this one was bitter sweet” said coach Joe Conroy. “Unfortunately Sam Bondoc (126 lbs), who was undefeated in league, dislocated his elbow in the 1st period. He is now sidelined for the year. The team really rallied behind him and wrestled tough all night”.

Our upper weights stepped up and got bonus points when we needed them” added Conroy. “Senior Jeremy Shepherd (195), junior Josh Liwanag (182) and sophomore Justin Curtis (170) really brought home this win all recording pins for us”.

Great Oak will be hosting Murrieta Valley, Chaparral is at Mesa and Vista Murrieta and the Golden Bears will be at Temecula Valley next week
