HS Wrestling: Temecula Valley Dominant in 66-16 Dual Meet Victory over Vista Murrieta

The Defending Southwestern League Champion Golden Bears are Seeking their 28th consecutive league title.

Vista Murrieta ventured to Temecula Valley to face the mighty Golden Bears Wrestling team Thursday night. The Broncos found this year’s Dual Meet a lot more difficult than last year, when Vista Murrieta was a single match away from defeating the 27 year consecutive Southwestern League Champion.

The Golden Bears dominated this year’s match on Thursday night. Temecula Valley won 11 weight classes and crushed the Broncos 66-16. The Broncos were victorious in three matches.

Im realy proud of our wrestlers performed” said Golden Beras Wrestling Coach Arnold Alpert. “They stayed focused and showed great poise and determination, especially our seniors. We got the job done again”.

The Golden Bears team song for the past 24 years has been Bro Hymm by Pennywise.

“Last night, one of the members of Pennywise actually sent us Bro Hymm t-shirts” added Coach Alpert. Our team wore the shirts out of the tunnel. It was great. The Crowd was singing and everyone on the team was hyped and ready to wrestle”.
