Huntington Beach Police announced on Friday that the body discovered washed up on Huntington Beach was that of 18-year-old Jessy Cook.
Cook was a resident of Temecula.
Cook was reported missing to the Coast Guard at around 11:40 pm, Tuesday. The Coast Guard, Police lifeguards and Harbor Patrol used ships and helicopters to search for her.
The search was called off at around 1 pm on Wednesday after failing to find her.
Cook’s body washed ashore on Thursday, Feb. 8th.
Cook was a freshman at Cal Poly Pomona. She started school in fall 2017.
