Gregory Thomas Ditto, of Temecula, plead guilty to sexually assaulting two women in separate attacks in parking structures at the Irvine Spectrum. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his crimes.
Ditto was charged with one felony count of attempted kidnapping to commit a sexual offense, two felony counts of assault with intent to commit a sexual offense, one felony count of attempted sexual penetration by a foreign object and force, and one felony count of sexual battery by restraint.
On July 20, 2016, Ditto is accused of approaching Jane Doe 1 from behind, picking her up, and carrying her toward a stairwell in an Irvine Spectrum parking structure. The victim fought off her attacker. Ditto is accused of fleeing the scene. IPD identified Ditto as a possible suspect based on surveillance footage of the parking structure.
The second attack was on August 2, 2016, at approximately 10:00 AM. Irvine Police officers responded to a report of a sexual battery of a female inside a parking structure at the Irvine Spectrum. Ditto fled from the area in a vehicle prior to officers arriving.
The woman managed to get the suspect’s license plate number and passed it on to police.
Irvine Police identified Ditto as a suspect in this case and ultimately arrested him in Lake Elsinore at approximately 3:15 PM.
