Lake Elsinore: Glendora Man Arrested with 1.5 ounces of Meth, 100 Xanax Pills & Over $10,000 in Cash

On Tuesday, March 12, at 11:08 AM, officers with the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to an RV park at the 32000 block of Stoneman Avenue. Witnesses reported an altercation between an adult male and an adult female.

Although the parties involved in the initial altercation fled prior to the officers’ arrival, the officers continued to investigate the nature of the disturbance. The officers learned the dispute was likely related to illicit narcotics activity.

The investigation led the officers to conduct a vehicle stop on a car they discovered was being driven by the male involved in the initial dispute, identified as 38 year-old Glendora resident Jason Whitaker.

Whitaker, who was on formal felony probation, was found to be in possession of approximately 1.5 ounces of Methamphetamine, over a hundred Xanax bars (pills), and an excess of $10,000 cash. Whitaker was placed under arrest and the cash, believed to be a product of illicit narcotics sales, was seized and will be processed for Asset Forfeiture.

Whitaker was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on three felony charges related to the transportation and possession of narcotics for distribution. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Officer Moore or Officer Buck with the Lake Elsinore Police Department at (951) 245-3300.
