Lake Elsinore: Teenager Killed in August 4th Skateboarding Accident Indentified

On Friday, August 4, 2017, at about 3:55 PM, officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to a report of a major injury traffic collision on McVicker Canyon Park Road and Sunswept Drive.

Deputies arrived and located all parties and vehicles involved. A teemager was riding a skateboard on Sunswept Drive and was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of McVicker Canyon Park Road. The teen was transported to a local area hospital with major injuries and died from the injuries at the hospital.

The victim was identified as 15-year-old Joseph Losoya from Lake Elsinor. He died at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar less than an hour after the crash.

Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor at this time. The names of involved parties will not be released at this time.
