Menifee: Police Arrest 4 for DUI’s & Cite 21 Drivers for Unlicensed or Suspended Licenses at Saturday’s Checkpoint

Menifee, CA – Menifee Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint on 03/17/18, at State Highway 74 and Tradewinds Drive between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

653 – Vehicle passed through the checkpoint

36 – Vehicles Screened

12 – Field Sobriety Tests conducted

4 DUI-Alcohol suspects arrested

21 Drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked

2 Citations issued

Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspension and other expenses that can exceed $10,000 not to mention the embarrassment when friends and family find out.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, reminding everyone to ‘Report Drunk Driver – Call 9-1-1’.
