Moreno Valley: School Board Trustee Evan Morgan Takes Leave following his Arrest in Corona last Month


School Board member Evan Morgan has informed the Moreno Valley Unified School District Superintendent that he will take a leave of his duties as a board member.

On June 20, 2018, Morgan 35, was arrested in the City of Corona for felony burglary and felony vandalism at a Corona home. He was held temporarily by Corona police before being released after posting $35,000 bail.

Morgan was elected as a school board member in November of 2016. Recently his arrest has been publicized on social media. He stated that he was concerned that news of his arrest could disrupt district business. This is the reason that Mr. Morgan recently took a leave from Board duties.
