Moreno Valley: Two Arrested in Wednesday’s Sex Offender Registration Compliance Check


On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station conducted a compliance check of registered sex offenders within the city of Moreno Valley. During this operation, 242 sex offenders were contacted by deputies and officers to verify compliance with all registration requirements as well as all terms and conditions of parole or probation.

The operation resulted in two arrests and ten additional cases being referred to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office seeking prosecution.

Those arrested during operation were Stephen Sliger, 52 years old of Moreno Valley and Lee Webber, 49 years old of Moreno Valley. Both Sliger and Webber were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.

The Moreno Valley Police Department conducts random sexual offender compliance checks on a regular basis. Additional large-scale operations will be planned in the near future.
