Murrieta: Border Patrol Agents Arrest Man Smuggling $830,000 of Meth in a Duffel Bag


The Driver was Pulled Over on Interstate 15 last Thursday

Border Patrol Agents patrolling northbound Interstate 15 found $830,000 worth of meth last Thursday. The agents stopped a man who was allegedly acting odd while driving.

The vehicle the 41 year old man was driving revealed a prior history of alien and narcotic smuggling when the license plate was checked.

A search with the help of a K9 was conducted after his Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck was pulled over. The agents found a black duffel bag in the backseat.

The duffle bag contained 40 vacuum-sealed packages of suspected narcotics which tests confirmed substance inside contained methamphetamine.

There was 41 pounds of methamphetamine which has a street value of $830,000. The driver and the drugs were turned over to the DEA.
