Murrieta: “Dan’s Got Crabs” is Absolutely the Best Place for an Authentic Cajun Crab Boil

This is an Incredible, “Messy & Fun” Place for Outrageously Delicious Seafood

I’m a huge Seafood fan and Dan’s Got Crabs in Murrieta has now made my list of favorite places to go in town for the freshest, perfectly cooked Cajun Crab Boil. Dan opened the restaurant a little over a year ago and the place is becoming a “must go” eatery in Murrieta.

I can’t praise this place enough…I loved the food, service and the fact that I could eat everything without a plate or silverware.

Real fining at it’s best. This cute little place is great for a romantic dinner for two or works well with big groups and family meals.

We selected shrimp, crayfish and the spicy Louisiana Cajun sausage in our boil. We also had corn and the garlic sauce… and tried it with the spicy sauce at level 2.

Everything is a la carte so you are free to create and personalize each and every meal. The staff is very friendly and will assist you in your creation. They will even show you how to eat the “mud bugs” if you haven’t tried them before.

Let me tell you, the food was “fire”… absolutely delicious. The ingredients were steamed and the result was an absolute masterpiece. It was so finger-licking good. Yummy. The Shrimp was cooked just right, plump and tender. The corn was a flavor sensation, as it soaked up all the wonderful juices.

We had three appetisers with our meal. First, we had the Oysters that were baked and served on salt. Amazing… and for those of you who are oyster fans like me, they also serve the shucked and served raw and on the half shell.

We tried the Beet Fries too. Moist, sweet and deep dried to a crispy perfection. Dan served them with a special Cajun Mayo. We didn’t try them but they also have Sweet Potato Fries.

The regular Cajun Fries were Bomb. We had them with the Spicy Chicken appetizer. Like I wrote earlier, everything here was simply delicious.

Even the deserts are served without silverware, and we tried them both.

The Hand Dipped Ice Cream was enough for two (unless Lucas is your Photographer). Ask for extra nuts. The hand Dipped Cheesecake was the perfect finish to this delightful meal.

We will be back.
