The Bronco Graduate Led Vista Murrieta to Two Consecutive California State Boys Team Championships
Michael Norman has been named the 2016 Gatorade’s National Track & Field Boys Athlete of the Year. Norman won the illustrious award last season and is headed to the US Olympic Team trials in Oregon. The Gatorade Player of the Year award was established in 1985 and annually recognizes the top athlete in a sanctioned High School Sport in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Norman led Vista Murrieta to their first California State Boys Team Title last year and his dominate force propelled the Broncos to their second consecutive Championship this season. He now turns his sights towards the Olympic Games in Brazil this summer.
The Bronco graduate has been active in the local community. Norman was also a member of Vista Murrieta’s school’s community assistance club and has been involved in various activities to help and assist the needy. He was also involved with the Special Olympics and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
