Murrieta: MVPW Warhawk Cheer Team Crowned Number One at the at the JAMZ National Youth Cheer Championships

Murrieta Valley Warhawk Cheer Takes the Crown Away from Reigning Champion South Gate Aztecs

The Murrieta Valley Warhawk Junior Pee Wee Cheer team took first place in the JAMZ National Youth Cheer Championships in Las Vegas this past weekend. The Tournament consisted of over 200 of the best Cheer and Dance teams from all over the country…and the right to compete was by invitation only.

The team was coached by Kati Spry and her assistant Demo KK Montoya, a student at Murrieta Valley High School.”I can not begin to express how proud I am of the team that we have become” said Coach Spry.“The girls performed absolutely amazing at Nationals. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. I was very nervous because we were placed in the large division we missed the cut off for small (12 maximum) by one girl” .

“I have always said we may be small but we are mighty. And we proved that for sure” Spry added. “We are all still trying to soak it in. We are honored to hold a National title and represent our city and organization. Our team worked hard for it… and are beyond deserving. I can not express how proud I am. We are bold we are strong Warhawks cheer all day long’.

Grace Anolin, Taylor Cromie, Leia Fonseca, Angelina Gallegos, Marley Knox, Haley McQueen, Marlee Miller, Cianna Northup, Chloe Patterson, Isabella Sanchezsoto, Nyimoi Smoke, Makayla Spry, Kayla Welch and Mike Cromie make up the National Champion MVPW Warhawk Cheer Team.
