The 16th Annual Veterans Day Parade rolls through Town Square Park in historic Downtown Murrieta today. The Parade begins on Washington Avenue at 1 pm with a special flyover and the playing of the National Anthem.

Over 15,000 enthusiastic people are expected to pack the streets of Murrieta to celebrate Veterans Day and honor all those that have served the Nation. Parking lots will open early and visitors can park on side streets as early in anticipation of this popular annual event.

The Parade showcases the marching bands from Vista Murrieta, Murrieta Valley and Murrieta Mesa High Schools. Boy Scout troop 384, ROTC Regiments from the Murrieta and Temecula High Schools, Veterans and Color Guards from various branches of the armed forces all plan to march in today’s parade.

The Parade ends at Town Square Park with the Murrieta Rotary Club’s Field of Honor. The community is also invited to visit and pay tribute and recognize our local Heroes at the site.
