Murrieta: Traffic Stop Leads to Three Arrests

On 12/18/17 at approximately 11:03 p.m. a Murrieta Police Officer conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot near 25100 Madison Avenue.

The officer contacted the three occupants, identified as Jonathan Perez, 30, Josephine Pantoja, 29 and Amberlyn Bergine, 35 years. All 3 are residents of Hemet A records check was conducted on each subject.

The check revealed that Mr. Perez was on probation for the possession of stolen property and had previous convictions for narcotics and vehicle theft.

Mr. Perez had previous contact in January 2017 when he was arrested by Murrieta Police Department after being found in possession of several items that had been stolen from a parked car.

Ms. Pantoja was found to have two misdemeanor warrants, be on probation for the possession of a stolen vehicle and had previous convictions for burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, and narcotics. Ms. Bergine was also found to be on probation for vehicle theft and had previous convictions for narcotics, assault, vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools.

The officers conducted a check of the vehicle subsequent to the probations of all three subjects. Inside the vehicle, the officers located methamphetamine and modified keys used to commit vehicle theft. The officers also located narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia in the purse of Ms. Bergine. All three subjects were placed under arrest and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
