Murrieta: Two Arrested for Tagging


On 1/9/2018 at approximately 11:22 p.m. Murrieta Police Officers responded to the area of Agean Court and Cadenza Drive regarding a subject seen spray painting on a fence. The caller was able to provide a description to the dispatcher of the vehicle the male subject left the area in.

Upon arrival, the officer located a vehicle matching the description provided by the caller leaving the area. The officer conducted an investigative traffic stop on the vehicle.

The officer contacted the two occupants, identified as Zachary Dedmon 23 of Wildomar, and Joshua Bolton 28a resident of Lake Elsinore. A routine records check was conducted on each. While speaking with Mr. Dedmon and Mr. Bolton, the officer observed spray paint cans inside the vehicle in plain view.

During the investigation, tagging was found on a fence as the original caller had stated. The paint on the fence matched the paint inside Mr. Dedmon’s vehicle and on both Mr. Dedmon and Mr. Bolton. Mr. Dedmon and Mr. Bolton were placed under arrest for vandalism and conspiracy and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
