The Golden Alliance will be on the Field for their “Give Back Performance” this Saturday, Raising Food for a local food pantry.
Vista Murrieta High School’s Marching Band won first place at the Bands Of America Regional Championships on October 29 in Long Beach. With the 2nd highest music score in the country, that places VMHS in the top 1% of 19,000 + marching bands in the entire country this season.
Not only did Vista Murrieta’s Band come in first, they won Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance and Outstanding General Effect.
The band leaves for Indianapolis tomorrow to compete in the Bands of America Grand National Championships where they hope to be one of the only California bands to ever make finals in the national championships.
Band Director Donald Wade said, “While it is our band kids out on the field performing, our success is a culmination of support from our parent booster club (one of the best anywhere), our school and school administration, district administration, and our community as a whole! We are humbled by the support we are given and thank you all for all that you do for us.”
This Saturday the band will perform for the last time at 8 p.m. in the VMHS stadium. Everyone is welcome to attend and they hope to fill the stadium! Admission is a can food donation for the local food pantry.
