Paloma Valley Crushes Lakeside 71-0 Friday Night


The Wildcats are now 7-0 and Tied for First in the Sunbelt League

14732210_1187564481317698_6528528529519491790_nThe Wildcats’ offense could not be contained Friday night, as Paloma Valley’s rampage through the Sunbelt league continued. The Wildcats moved the ball at will and scored all 71 points in the first half, Their punishing defense mauled the Lancers into submission.

14720586_1187558601318286_5720151073847641695_nPaloma Valley quarterback Chance Nolan lot things started with a 51-yard touchdown pass to Blake Moore on their first possession. Nolan would complete 11 of his 17 passes for 152 yards and 3 more touchdowns. Senior running back Corey Maddox would score four times against Lakeside. He carried the ball 11 times for 178 yards.

Moore ended up with 5 catches for 97 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. He also ran for 32 yards on 2 carries. Senior Jayden Lundy caught 4 balls for 31 yards and a touchdown while junior Seth Carvalho had 2 catches for 24.yards.

14642298_1187553127985500_5821450882312467947_nSpecial teams and the defense also got in on the scoring for Paloma Valley. Wildcats linebacker Steven Bradshaw returned a blocked punt 7 yards into the end zone in the second quarter. Senior defensive back Lanell Harrell also scored on a 32 interception.

The Lakeside offense was completely overwhelmed and stopped completely by the Wildcats defense. Besides the two turnovers for touchdowns, Paloma Valley ended the night sacking Lancer quarterback Seth Armstrong 5 times.

Paloma Valley will travel to Elsinore to take on the Tigers Friday night. Lakeside will be home to face Temescal Canyon.
