Perris, CA – Officers from the Perris Police Department responded to a single vehicle, minor injury traffic collision near the 2400 block of Murrieta Rd. in the city of Perris. A black sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The sedan left the roadway and collided into a pole.
The driver and lone occupant, 22- year-old Perris resident Taylor Dreese, was determined to be driving while impaired by alcohol. Dreese sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries during the collision.
Dreese was transported to a local hospital where she was medically cleared before being booked for DUI at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Facility. No road closures resulted from this traffic collision.
The Police Department would like to remind you that the cost of a ride home is cheap. It’s nothing compared to a $10,000 DUI conviction. The ‘inconvenience’ of not driving your own car home is nothing compared to the inconvenience of spending time behind bars.
