Riverside: Man Breaking into a Car Arrested Tuesday Morning


At around 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, officers responded to a vehicle burglary in progress at the Target store parking lot in the 3500 block of Tyler Street. When they arrived, they saw the suspect near a vehicle with a broken window. The suspect attempted to flee but was quickly and safely apprehended.

The officers’ investigation determined the suspect had broken the window of the victim’s car, rummaged through it and stole items from inside. When they detained the suspect, he was found with burglary tools and property belonging to the victim.

The suspect was identified as Jose Rodriguez, 33-year-old of Perris. Rodriguez was arrested and later booked into jail for vehicle burglary and possession of burglary tools
