The Man was  Identified as Adrian Arriaga of Riverside
The man who was shot and killed by two bounty hunters Sunday night in Riverside has been identified as Adrian Arriaga, 35. He was a transient who lived in and around Riverside.

Riverside County Superior Court records show that Arriaga failed to appear in court on two cases. He had been charged with resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, attempted robbery, identity theft and forgery. Arriaga was also charged with throwing a flammable substance on a person.

Arriaga also had prior convictions for grand theft auto, possession of a controlled substance for sale, being under the influence, petty theft, assault and resisting arrest.

He was killed Sunday night by two bounty hunters in the Santa Ana River bottom near Van Buren Boulevard. The bounty hunters located the victim and became involved in a physical altercation with Arriaga when the shooting occurred.

The bail bondsmen called the Riverside County Sheriff Dispatch Center and requested law enforcement and medical assistance to respond. Arriaga, who was shot in the face, was taken to the hospital and died about two hours later.

Riverside Detectives are investigating. No arrests had been made.
