Riverside: Two Sheriff’s Lieutenants Promoted to the Rank of Captain


Captain Captain Pemberton takes command of the Cabazon Station, and Captain Reynolds takes upcoming command of the Indio Jail

This morning, August 10th, Sheriff Stan Sniff promoted two Lieutenants, Joe Pemberton (Lake Elsinore) and Misty Reynolds (Indio Jail) to the rank of Captain. Captain Pemberton takes command of our Cabazon Station, and Captain Reynolds takes upcoming command of the Indio Jail.

Captain Pemberton has served over 21 years rising thru the ranks with assignments in the Blythe and Southwest Jails, Moreno Valley Police Department, Central Homicide Unit, Jurupa Valley and Lake Elsinore Stations, and SIB. Captain Pemberton is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Captain Reynolds has served 20 years with our agency, rising through the ranks with assignments in the Indio Jail, Palm Desert and Thermal Stations, Personnel, and Internal Affairs.

Both hold BA and MA college degrees.
