SoCal: $10,000 Reward Offered for Information on a Shooting that Paralyzed Victim in March


The Riverside City Council approved a resolution offering a reward of $10,000 for information that leads to the identification and apprehension of the person or persons responsible for the attempted murder of Izaac Colunga, for a duration of 60 days.

On Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 12:11 am, a shooting took place at a residence in the 6400 block of Nidever Avenue in Riverside. There were several occupants inside the house when the shooting occurred and two were struck by the gunfire.

Both subjects were transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment. Izaac Colunga was critically injured and suffered likely permanent paralysis from the neck down. The second victim was treated for a minor injury and later released from the hospital.

Witnesses described a vehicle leaving the area, but the investigation conducted so far has developed few leads. Detectives believe there may be witnesses or people with information related to this crime who have yet to come forward.
