SoCal: Police Need Help in Identifying Woman who Stole Purse & Credit Cards of Elderly Woman Paralyzed in a Traffic Accident in August


On August 8, 2018, an elderly woman was involved in a traffic collision where she was paralyzed from the neck down in Riverside. While she lay motionless and injured in her vehicle, an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and stole her purse.

The same day, the victim’s credit cards were used in various locations in the Riverside area. A few days later, an unknown female suspect fraudulently rented a Nissan Rogue in the victim’s name.

The vehicle was later recovered in San Diego County. This female was seen driving the vehicle and making in-store purchases with the victim’s credit card.

Additionally, the elderly woman recently succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Now her husband is also dealing with credit collection companies trying to collect on the fraudulent purchases.
