This Year’s “Glow” Presentation to Feature Cosplay Characters and a Outer Space Theme
The Festival presents the colorful “Balloon Glow” spectacular on both Friday and Saturday nights. Balloons are parked around the grounds in the early evening as the hot air balloons then perform the “dance” that can is accomplished when the pilots synchronize their “burns” and glow to the beat of music chosen for the night.
This year’s glow will feature popular soundtracks from “Close Encounters,” “Star Wars,” and “2001 Space Odyssey.” Carrying the theme a step further, David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” (Major Tom) and “Starman,” will also be part of the show.
Expect to see costumed characters Friday evening – Storm Troopers, Darth Vadars, Ewoks, Aliens, Klingons and Ferengis, and maybe even Yoda. The Festival, in partnership with iHeart Radio Temecula, is staging a Cosplay with up to 50 participants.
The evening balloon glow is included in Festival general admission. Pre-registered Cosplay Characters will be admitted free with i-Heart vouchers and proper I.D.
To carry the theme further, Gears to Robots, an electronic/robot academy from Temecula, will have an interactive exhibit of robots near the Kids Faire inside the Festival.
