Temecula: California Highway Patrol Seeking Help from Public to Identify Fatal Hit & Run Driver


The California Highway Patrol is reaching out tfor the publics help in trying to identify and apprehend a Hit and Run suspect.

On Thursday, August 8, 2019, at approximately 8:20 PM, an adult male pedestrian was walking southbound across State Route 74 (SR-74) in the number 1 lane, just east of Agnew Avenue in the unincorporated area of Riverside County.

The hit and run suspect was driving a white utility truck westbound in the #1 lane of SR-74 just east of Agnew Avenue approaching the male pedestrian. The truck’s front end struck the pedestrian.

The driver failed to stop and fled the scene to an unknown location.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Temecula Area is handling this traffic collision investigation. Please see attached photo of the possible suspect vehicle, which was taken from a surveillance camera near the collision scene.
