Temecula: Experience Exceptional Sushi with a “Thai Flare” at Fire Fish Sushi & More


This Place is Definitely One of the Most Unique Sushi Bars in the Temecula Valley

Fire Fish is one of my favorite places to go for Sushi in the Temecula Valley. The restaurant is bright, cherry and very intimate. The Food… is exceptional. The fish is always fresh and the sushi chefs are friendly. The service is wonderful and first class. The restaurant also has a variety of non sushi items that will satisfy any discriminating pallet.

I can’t say enough good things about Fire Fish. Seriously, I just can’t. I love Japanese Sushi, and Thai food is also one of my favorites. Just imagine…you can have both here… Thai-Japanese Fusion!

We started our culinary adventure with several appetisers. We had the Spicy Garlic Edamame…they were to die for, The Fire Fish Sampler was very nice. It consisted of Gyoza, Chicken Wontons and Shrimp Shumai. The two Thai dipping sauces were a perfect with the crispy deep fried treats.

The first roll that we tried was the Refreshing Roll. This simple yet flavorfull roll was packed with tuna, salmon, yellowtail and avocado. “Chef T” tops off his creation with thin slices of jalapeño peppers and drizzles a delicious cilantro sauce on top…ask for extra for dipping this wonderful creation in.

 

We then feasted on the Monster Roll. Yum. This roll was filled with Spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado and seared albacore with a hint of garlic. The Chef drapes crispy fried tempura battered onions all over the top and finishes it all off with a sesame dressing.

Our last roll was called the Tasty Killer...It was scrumptious and we survived. This was also a shrimp tempura roll stuffed with shrimp salad and avocado… rolled up in a soy wrapper then baked with langostino and masago. It was topped off with another one of Chef T‘s incredible special sauces. This one was a delightful sweet and sour concoction that really finished off the dish well.

Rose liked the Terriayki Chicken Bento Box lunch special. The moist and tender grilled chicken came with a mixed green salad, gyoza, half of a California roll, soup and rice.

 

 

 

We also sampled the Shimp Fried Rice ,which had the blend of Thai and Japanese flavors with lots of plump shrimp… really a yummy tast treat.

I was “forced” to finish the meal with the Tempura ice cream. Check out the picture…mmm. A great way to finish a fantastic meal at Fire Fish in Temecula.
