Temecula: Miss Marvelous Participants Shined at Temecula Valley High School last Week

This Year there were 18 Special Needs Participants from the 3 High Schools in the Temecula Unified School District

The Sixth Annual Miss Marvelous Pageant was held on Wednesday, November 16th in the Performing Arts Theater at Temecula Valley High School. This Year there were 18 special needs students from Great Oak, Chaparral and Temecula Valley High Schools who participated.

This event seeks to recognize girls who live with physical and mental challenges. It consists of a formal wear segment, a talent segment and ends with a group dance that all the girls participate in.

The show is a district wide effort, with students from all three of Temecula’s comprehensive high schools coming together to make it happen.

The Miss Marvelous Pageant was first started in 2012 at Great Oak School when students wanted to do something special for our special needs students. WSB/ASB students from all three high schools in the Temecula Unified School Districts begin preparing for this event.

The Pageant grew and it was eventually moved to the Newly built Performing Arts Theater at Temecula Valley High School in 2016.

The event is still growing. This year, there were 18 participants, the most that have participated so far.
