Temecula: The Margarita Fire 100% Contained as of 8:40 pm Sunday Night


CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a wildland fire at the 41000 block of Margarita Road in Temecula Sunday at around 5 pm. The first arriving engine company reported 1/4 acre of vegetation burning in a drainage with a moderate rate of spread.

Approximately 20 homes were temporarily evacuated, all residents have returned to their homes. Sixty firefighters and 12 engine companies combated the fire.

The fire burned 1.25 acres of vegetation and was 100% contained at 8:40 pm. No structures were threatened and no injuries reported.
