The Riverside County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony & Run is May 21st


The Ceremony will be Held at the Safe in His Arms Memorial Statue in Front of the Riverside Police Department

The Riverside County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony & Run is an event to honor all law enforcement officers within Riverside County who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

This year, there will be adding two names to the Memorial, Officer Lesley Zerebny and Officer Jose “Gil” Vega of the Palm Springs Police Department, who were tragically killed in the line of duty in October 2016.

The 2.5 mile moderate jog will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m., and will lead into the start of the ceremony at 6:15 p.m. The run/jog is open to EVERYONE of all ages and no registration is required.

The Ceremony will begin following the run at 6:15 PM. This is a multi-agency fallen officer remembrance ceremony, including a helicopter fly-over, flag folding and twenty-one gun salute.

The event is on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the “SAFE IN HIS ARMS” Memorial Statue, located in front of the Riverside Police Department at 4102 Orange Street, Riverside, CA 92501.

Free parking will be available in the parking structures located at 3535 12th Street and 4090 Lemon Street.
