Update: Second Child Dies after Friday Morning Crash in San Jacinto


UPDATE: Another child has died as a result of the crash that occurred on Friday morning in San Jacinto. The second victim was pronounced dead early Saturday evening.

The juveniles’ ages and identities were not immediately available.

San Jacinto: Crash Kills One Juvenile & Sends a Woman, 2 More Kids to the Hospital Friday Morning

A crash in San Jacinto Friday morning killed one juvenile and sent the woman driver and other juveniles to the hospital. On Friday, July 12, at about 8:38 AM, deputies assigned to the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Sanderson Avenue north of Cottonwood Avenue in the City of San Jacinto regarding a major injury traffic collision.

The preliminary investigation revealed a burgundy, Scion coupe was traveling northbound on Sanderson Avenue, veered to the right and collided into the drainage culvert causing major damage to the vehicle.

An adult female driver and three juvenile passengers were located inside the vehicle. All four occupants were transported by ambulance to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in the City of Moreno Valley for treatment.

One of the juvenile passengers is deceased. Preliminarily, alcohol and or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
