Vista Murrieta Continues its Rampage through the Southwestern League as Broncos Crush Murrieta Mesa 72-22

Murrieta Valley will Face Off with the Broncos Tonight at Vista Murrieta

The Broncos stampede through the Southwestern League continued Wednesday night, as Vista Murrieta jumped all over Murrieta Mesa. The Rams were a bit overwhelmed by the aggressive, physical Bronco defense and struggled to score.





Vista Murrieta jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the first period and made it 32-14 at the half. The Broncos outscored the Rams 40-8 in the second half, shutting out the Murrieta Mesa offense completely in the fourth period.


Keilanei Cooper led the Bronco attack with 27 points and 8 steals. Gabby Stoll grabbed 9 rebounds and scored 19 points as Nakela Smith put another 1 through the hoop. Keiara Barton added 4 point as Noelani Bernardo, Dani Weinmann and Maitland Kingsley each scored three points. Kingsley, a freshman, also led the Broncos with 10 rebounds.



For Murrieta Mesa, Sedaiah Dixon and Emilee Stallo each scored 6 points to lead the Rams. Justine Hutter added 4 more as Olivia Cheng and Emily Cassidy scored 2 apiece. Trstine Ciling and Donielle Hutchinson both sank a free throw for the Rams.

The Broncos are home tonight to take on Murrieta Valley. The Rams travel to Temecula Valley to face the Golden Bears.
